Algebraic Thinking and Its Relationship to The Inferential Thinking Skills of Second-Grade Intermediate Students

Abstract

Abstract : The current research aims At identifying the following

1.Algebraic thinking among second- grade  intermediate students in the General Directorate of Education Rusafa First.

2.The inferential thinking skills of the second intermediate grade students in the General Directorate of Education of Rusafa First.

3.The nature and direction of the correlative relationship between algebraic thinking and inferential thinking skills among second-grade intermediate students in the General Directorate of Rusafa First Education.

    The research sample consistes of (200) students from the second intermediate grade / Al-Rusafa first, and for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the research and collecting private data, two tests were prepared, one for algebraic thinking and the second for inferential thinking skills So according to a survey sample to verify the clarity of the paragraphs of each test and to determine its time delete and put instructions, and The appropriate statistical analysis for them, and to ensure the psychometric characteristics, duo to which the two tests are ready to be applied to the basic research group and in their final form. The paragraphs of the algebraic thinking test reached (20) paragraphs, and the inferential thinking skills test (20) paragraphs. The researchers used the (Spss statistical bag) to analyze The results were obtained by extracting the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the one-sample T-test and the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results indicated that the students of the second grade average / Al-Rusafa first possess algebraic thinking and have inferential thinking skills in a way that exceeds the hypothetical average of the two tests, as well as a positive correlation between algebraic thinking and thinking skills Deductive reasoning among students of the Second intermediate grade / Rusafa first, and the researcher presented That's finally a set of proposals and recommendations were submitted.
