Abstract:
The research aims to identify:
1- The effectiveness of the strategy (5555) in formal thinking for fifth-grade scientific-biological students in chemistry
2- The effectiveness of the strategy (5555) in the emotional intelligence of fifth-grade scientific-biological students in the subject of chemistry. The research community was determined from the preparatory schools affiliated with the Baghdad / Rusafa 3 Education Directorate for the academic year 2020/2021 AD, the second semester, and the research sample was intentionally tested from Sibawayh Preparatory School for Boys. The two groups were rewarded in some variables. (180) behavioral objectives were formulated, and based on them, teaching plans were prepared. As for the research tools, the researcher prepared a test for formal thinking skills consisting of (24) paragraphs, with (4) paragraphs for each skill of the type of objective paragraphs, multiple choice distributed. It contains nine skills: (proportional reasoning, probabilistic reasoning, reasoning Synthetic, hypothetical - deductive reasoning, logical analogy, controlling variables). As for the second tool, the emotional intelligence scale, the researcher adopted the scale prepared by (Al-Fatlawi, 2010). Their validity and reliability were verified, as well as statistical analyzes of their items were conducted. The results of the research showed that the students of the experimental group outperformed the control group was in formal thinking skills and emotional intelligence. In light of this, the researcher made a number of recommendations and suggested conducting subsequent studies to complement the research.
