Abstract:
The aim of the research is to identify the effectiveness of teaching child health using the TRIZ theory in developing scientific thinking skills and decision-making abilities among second-year students in the Primary Education Teacher Department. To achieve this goal، the researcher formulated two null hypotheses. The experimental method was adopted as the general framework for the research due to its suitability for the research objectives and procedures. An experimental design consisting of two equivalent groups was used: an experimental group and a control group. The two groups were partially monitored to ensure equal conditions.
To test the validity of the two null hypotheses، the researcher prepared two tests: one to measure scientific thinking skills، consisting of (26) items، and the other to measure decision-making ability، consisting of (52) items. These tests were applied to two pilot samples outside the main research sample to ensure their validity and reliability.Using a T-test for two independent and unequal samples، the results showed that the students in the experimental group، who studied according to the TRIZ theory، outperformed the students in the control group، who studied using the traditional method، in both the scientific thinking test and the decision-making test. In light of these results، the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions to promote the use of the TRIZ theory in teaching.
