Abstract

Abstract:

 The current research aims to identify the impact of the expansion theory in the cognitive achievement test for the subject of communication.

The researchers chose the research sample in a random manner and it consisted of (54) male and female students of the fourth stage distributed between two classrooms. Hall (1) represented the experimental group, with (27) students, and Hall (4) represented the control group, with (27) Male and female students, the researchers adopted a partially controlled experimental design for two groups (experimental and control) with pre and post tests. The two research groups were rewarded with the variables (chronological age, intelligence, previous experience). A paragraph of the multiple-choice type with four alternatives, and the validity and reliability were verified, the difficulty coefficient, the discriminatory power, and the effectiveness of the wrong alternatives were verified for the test.              

The experiment started on Wednesday corresponding to (24/11/2021) for the two research groups (experimental and control and ended on Wednesday (12/1/ 2022). To verify the significance of the differences between the two groups, the results reached by the researchers showed the superiority of the experimental group that was taught according to the expansionist theory over the control group that was taught in the usual way.
