The research aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching using the "Peartram Bros" model on the analytical thinking skills and physical sense of second-grade middle school students. To achieve this goal, the researcher formulated two hypotheses:
1.There is no statistically significant difference at a significance level of (0.05) between the average scores of students in the experimental group who studied using the "Peartram Bros" model and the average scores of students in the control group who studied using the traditional method on the analytical thinking skills test.
2.There is no statistically significant difference at a significance level of (0.05) between the average scores of students in the experimental group who studied using the "Peartram Bros" model and the average scores of students in the control group who studied using the traditional method on the physical sense test.
The researcher determined the design of two equivalent groups (experimental). The research community was from the second intermediate grade, in the morning intermediate schools (for boys) affiliated with the Al-Qadisiyah Education Department/Center, for the academic year (2024-2025), the first semester. According to this design, (Al-Hassan Intermediate School for Boys) was chosen by lottery to represent the sample, as the number of its students was (98) students and the number of classes was (3), where class (C) was chosen by lottery to be the experimental group and it included (33) students, as well as class (B) to represent the control group and it contained (32) students. The two groups were equivalent in (Age, previous year's physics grades, intelligence, and tests of analytical reasoning skills and physical sense.). The educational material was the first (4) chapters of the physics book for the second intermediate grade, and behavioral objectives were set for it, as they were (154) objectives. The researcher prepared (21) teaching plans for each group. As for the research tools, they are (a test of analytical thinking skills consisting of (30) paragraphs and a test of physical sense consisting of (25) paragraphs). Both tests are of the multiple-choice type with four Alternatives were tested for validity, difficulty coefficient, discrimination coefficient, effectiveness of false alternatives, and reliability. The experiment was conducted from October 6, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The two groups were then tested and statistical processing was performed using SPSS. The results were as follows: The experimental group students outperformed the control group students in both the analytical thinking skills test and the physical sense test. In light of these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals.
