The system adopted in our schools is based on the cognitive aspect, as was previously done in past periods, and this is what the new methods and strategies seek to replace, and this is what the current research focused on. This is done by identifying the effect of PDEODE strategy in the study of fifth-grade scientific students in biology and their generative thinking.
The research was limited to female students in the fifth scientific grade, as the total number of female students in the research sample was (59) female students, with (30) female students for the experimental group and (29) female students for the control group. The two research groups were rewarded in the following variables (Raven’s intelligence test, previous information in biology, and achievement). Study in biology and generative thinking) To measure the students’ achievement level, the researcher prepared an achievement exam containing (45) multiple-choice questions distributed from the six levels of Bloom’s taxonomy (remember, understand, apply, analyze, synthesize, evaluate). At the end of the research experiment, which lasted (12) weeks, The achievement test and the generative thinking test. The results were processed statistically using the T-test for two independent samples. The study concluded with the following results:
1- The female students of the experimental group who studied biology topics by adopting the PDEODE strategy advanced over the female students of the control group who studied biology topics according to the usual method in the achievement test.
2- Clear progress for the students of the experimental group who studied biology topics by adopting the PDEODE strategy over the students of the control group who studied biology topics according to the usual method of generative thinking.
Based on the results that the researcher reported, she recommends that those in charge of the Ministries of Education take advantage of this strategy in teaching students, and some suggestions and recommendations have been put forward.
