The research community was determined from the preparatory schools affiliated with the Baghdad / Rusafa 3 Education Directorate for the academic year 2020/2021 AD, the second semester, and the research sample was intentionally tested from Sibawayh Preparatory School for Boys. The two groups were rewarded in some variables. (180) behavioral objectives were formulated, and based on them, teaching plans were prepared. As for the research tools, the researcher prepared a test for formal thinking skills consisting of (24) paragraphs, with (4) paragraphs for each skill of the type of objective paragraphs, multiple choice distributed. It contains nine skills: (proportional reasoning, probabilistic reasoning, reasoning Synthetic, hypothetical - deductive reasoning, logical analogy, controlling variables). As for the second tool, the emotional intelligence scale, the researcher adopted the scale prepared by (Al-Fatlawi, 2010). Their validity and reliability were verified, as well as statistical analyzes of their items were conducted. The results of the research showed that the students of the experimental group outperformed the control group was in formal thinking skills and emotional intelligence. The research sample consisted of (373) male and female student teachers (the fourth stage) in mathematics departments in basic education colleges / Iraqi universities during the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 ، with (183) male students and (190) female students. For the purposes of this study The researcher prepared a test in the skills of processing mathematical information for the students of the fourth stage ، consisting of (35) paragraphs ، with (10) objective paragraphs ، and (25) essay paragraphs. The Cronbach alpha equation was used to calculate stability ، which amounted to (0.87) ، and the measure of beliefs about teaching and learning mathematics that was prepared by (Al-Saif and Al-Kanaani ، 2017) was adopted and using appropriate statistical methods. Mathematical information processing skills ، which is a function in favor of the hypothetical average ، and male students are better than female students in mathematical information processing skills. Among the results obtained through the scale of beliefs about teaching and learning mathematics is that the students of the research sample have high scores in the scale of beliefs ، and it appears according to the results obtained that the beliefs about mathematics are high among male students compared to female students. The researcher studied the two groups himself, and to measure the achievement test, the researcher adopted the achievement test prepared after ensuring its validity and reliability, which was applied at the end of the experiment, and the result was treated statistically using the T-test for two independent samples. The search result showed: *The female students of the experimental group who study chemistry using the systemic approach outperformed the female students of the control group who study the same subject in the traditional method in the achievement test.</p> <p>In light of the research results, the researcher recommended the following</p> <p>1- Emphasis on the use of modern teaching methods, especially the systemic approach in teaching chemistry, to raise the level of achievement among students.</p> <p>2- The need for chemistry teachers to provide training courses to familiarize them with modern strategies, including the systemic approach.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> م.م. شيماء رضا غانم Copyright (c) 2024 مجلة أبحاث الذكاء https://iru.uomustansiriyah.edu.iq/index.php/intel/article/view/527 Wed, 07 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The effect of the Cosgrove model on inductive thinking among students Fifth grade of primary school https://iru.uomustansiriyah.edu.iq/index.php/intel/article/view/533 <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This study aimed to find out (the effect of the Cosgrove model on inductive thinking among fifth grade students).</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The research sample is consisted of (57) students from the fifth grade of primary school, for the second semester of the academic year (2022-2023 AD), Al-Faw Elementary School affiliated to the General Directorate of Education Diyala.</p> <ul> <li class="show">The he sample was intentionally chosen, and by random selection, Division (B) was chosen to be the experimental group that studied according to the Cosgrove model with (29) students, and Division (A) to be the control group that studied according to the usual method by (28) pupils, and the two groups were equlized in the variables (intelligence, chronological age, previous information in mathematics, previous achievement in mathematics, and the educational level of the parents).</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The research tool was prepared, which is: an inductive reasoning test consisting of (20) objective items (multiple choice), and it was presented to a group of arbitrators in mathematics and its teaching methods to ensure its validity, and using the Kweder-Richardson equation (KR - 20), the value of the stability coefficient was (0.80). To achieve the study aim, the researcher formulated the following hypotheses (there is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group who were taught with (the directed imagination strategy), And the average grades of the control group students who were taught in the traditional method (the study sample consisted of (22) male and female students whom were randomly selected from the research community. The two researchers built a scale of high mental arousal, which the researchers prepared according to the theory of (Dabrowski, 1972), which consists of (24) items distributed over four areas, and was extracted.&nbsp; The statistical properties of the scale showed that all items had a statistically significant distinction and correlation. In addition, the psychometric properties of the scale were extracted, such as face validity and construct validity. For the purposes of the study, the researchers designed a counseling program based on the mental alertness counseling method of the scientist Kabat-Zinn (1982), and the researchers proposed a scheme&nbsp; The number of sessions is (12), two sessions per week, and the duration of the session is (45) minutes. The data was processed using the (SPSS) program, and the researchers achieved the goal of the research through the results that came out of the research. To achieve this study, a measure of intellectual capital based on the theory of (Advanson). (1993)as the scale of(20)items and competitive dominance was built based on the theory of (Marx,1985)as the scals of (17)items. The sample consisted of 220 male students in outstanding schools in Baghdad, and through SPSS statistical processing methods, it was concluded that there was A statistically significant relationship between among intellectual capital&nbsp; outstanding students and competitive dominance in the studied sample.
